The hotel was big, and the meals were fab, I enjoyed the incredible location close enough to the seafront at the quieter end of the town. The breakfast was above average and the parking was on site. Good service, though a few employees were quite busy.

Fantastic location right on the seafront, and the staff were cute, especially the bar and waiting staff. The room showed signs of wear, with frayed holes in the bedding and a hook protruding from the mattress. Noise from the street was disruptive during the night, which affected our comfort. Breakfast options were limited, and although fries were well-prepared, overall food quality left much to be desired.

Your staff are first rate, always smiling and helpful. The table service was fast and efficient (no plates dropped, even with waitresses running between table and kitchen). The time from ordering food to a plate at the table was so short, the chef must be phychic. At any rate he is worth his weight in gold. The menu and food was excellent, and real value for money (please do not raise the price based on our rating - some guests have to count every penny).
Reaching some rooms on the second floor was a bit of a nightmare, with steep steps going up and down. We were offered another room, but decided to keep the room, and use the stairs for careful exercise.

Rooms need better soundproofing. We were in a room between a person who snored for England and a couple who were arguing about what time their luggage needed to be ready for their return trip. They weren't shouting or being abusive but the lack of any adequate sound-proofing meant we could hear practically every word. Plus - hate to even realte this - the location of their bathroom in relation to our room meant we could hear all their "movements". Evenutally dropped off to sleep at 1am - only to be woken again at 6am when the luggage was being packed. Come on hotels - get your act together with regard to noise.

A comfortable stay with a clean and tidy room, along with a good, filling breakfast. The staff provided helpful service. The room showed signs of being a bit dated, and the evening dinner options could use improvement. The location was ideal, close to attractions and the seafront.

It was situated on the beach, the dining room was pleasant and the breakfast was good.
Our room was substandard, there was a hole in the wallpaper, cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, mould on the wall and the shower hose was corroded. The hotels response to this was they thought it was quite acceptable and well worth £110 per night.

It was a pleasant hotel with friendly and efficient waiting staff in the restaurant and a very good breakfast each morning close to beach and all the staff were friendly
Size of the bath towels very small toilet not very good took a long time to fill up and did not flush very well creaky floors all over the hotel but if you can ignore that it was a pleasant stay would go back

I missed the meal deadline by just 10 minutes but despite explaining I had driven for 6 hours in aweful weather, the restaurant decided they could still not provide me with a meal. Other guests were still being served so it would have been possible. When I questionned why the receptionist had failed to ask me if I would be dining and hence could have explained about the deadline for being served a meal, the staff member told me I should have read the details on the website and it was my fault. The room was extremely cold because there was an incorrectly fitted sash window that allowed a draft so intense it physically blew the curtains. I reported this matter to the manager who claimed the heating had just been switched on and the room would warm up, it did not and I sat wrapped in a blanket just to watch television. The heated towel rail did not work. Regardless of how much the hot tap ran, it did not produce hot water. I was told on arrival the bar would open until midnight, it closed at 11pm. A party was held in the ballroom and because Room 20 was directly above, it meant the music noise disturbed me until 11.15pm, and then the party started singing until around 12.30am. The music noise was so loud it prevented me having a conversation on the telephone. On arrival, I was given a car parking permit and asked to display it in the car. I explained it was raining hard, with a gale force wind, and I asked if the car park was monitored by a private company or by the staff themselves. The receptionist explained it was policed by the staff. I asked therefore that he noted my car registration details to save me getting soaked for a second time but he told me that unless the permit was displayed I would be clamped. The hotel room decor is old and shabby and badly in need of an upgrade. The shower pressure was completely inadequate. The Norfolk Hotel is a disgrace, it is not fit for purpose, and should not try and claim to be a business service.
